Audi TT Sportback Concept

Last Updated:

I think this is fantastic!
A 4 door hatchback version of the new TT.
While the design is pretty tame for the regular TT. It looks really good and original as a sedan.

I think this is a great idea and really hope Audi finds it in their little heart to actually produce this.
they have mentioned before that they want the TT to become a full line of cars.
This would be a great start.

To me this is much more appealing than the super conservative A3 sedan.
Just add a big glass roof to it….

  1. I couldn't agree more. Increased utility and versatility wrapped in a beautifully sleek package… what's not to love?!

  2. Couldn't disagree more. The TT is an iconic design that shouldn't be messed with. In doing so, it dilutes the uniqueness of the design.

If Audi wants to join the industry-wide love affair with 'SportBack' models, they should do it as a standalone line. Leave the TT to flourish as what it was originally meant to be – a compact, high-style design statement. Expanding the TT line to include more models makes sense. But NOT as a four-door sedan – even with a 'swoopy' roof.

  4. Looks great and useful liftback utility I assume. The TT Coupe is very small so I hope this is a bigger longer car.

Otherwise just give us the redesigned A5 Sportback next year.

BMW has the Gran Coupe so they could use something in that space as well in the US.

  5. outstanding…..this will set a new trend in sedans. Proving they don't have to look any less sporty than a sports car does. it's hot….period!

  6. It looks like every other obscenely generic and boring Audi. With fender flares!

It's marketing people. Wake up. This is NOT sexy!

Allow me to think out loud for a moment, see if I can figure this one out: The recession hits, and the rich, wanting to "tone it down a notch," trade their Mercs and BMWs in for the other, lesser known, less pretentious German marque. Around this time, the Corporate Generation's males–oblivious to the fact that someone named Edison first demonstrated the electric light bulb some 125+ years earlier–are drawn to the brand's flashy new-fangled exterior lights like moths to a… what else? The word "turbo" is thrown around, sending the testosterone of the steering wheel and pedal attached to their PC crowd to all-time highs (inadvertently blipping Clearasil stock)… Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man himself, drives one on-screen (crashing message boards everywhere)… and suddenly the turtleneck sweater of cars, Audi, is hip. And my nightmare begins.

I think that sounds about right. Timing. And marketing.
