More pictures of the new 2015 Kia Sorento

Last Updated:

Kia is hoping to sell over 270 000 a year of these, worldwide.
So it’s better be good.

It does look quite nice. More upscale than the previous version.
Also more “family” like. Dare I say more “minivan” like? (Why not…I just said it)

The 3.3 Liter V6 returns. And the 2.4 Liter also , in some countries. As well as a diesel, but that, of course, is not fur us.

  1. Snooze fest. And you thought the Volvo XC90 was boring…

I expect more from Kia. They've had great designs recently.

  2. Rear looks like a Toyota or Dodge Durango from 5 years ago. Nice grill. Generic "Toyota" like sides. Not good enough to compete with Jeep by if it's a penny less than a Honda or Toyota they'll sell like Big Macs!

  3. Well, well, well. It seems both Kia and Hyundai designs have plateaued! While neither brand has ever been known for mechanical or driving prowess they could always stir interest from their designs.

Now that the design cupboard has emptied, what's left for these two value (read budget) brands have to brag about? Oh yeah, that's right, value. Bad news for both Kia and Hyundai because the competition has already caught up, caught on and moved on by offering better quality/value/styling.

This thing is hardly impressive in the styling department and looks really invisible and so will the pricing after it is released and should find plenty of room at fleet rental lots!

  4. Totally forgettable. The rear tail lamp treatment looks like the last generation Toyota geek van.

  5. Guess Schreyer has run out of ideas.. this is embarrassingly Toyota Highlander-like in profile, and as someone else mentioned, previous Sienna-like from the rear! Even Kia's own new Sedona looks more modern than this. Sad.
