2015 Hyundai i20

Last Updated:

The i20 basically competes with cars like the Ford Fiesta, VW Polo etc… In Europe and other countries.

Here in the US, we get the Accent.
A cheap looking small sedan that competes mostly with the Nissan Versa.
I guess this could go against the Nissan Versa Note.

Since Hyundai is already selling us the Elantra GT, which is another European model, the 120 might actually end up over here one day…

  1. I'm really digging the rear design. Apparently this sort of stuff is too sexy for a compact in the American market. Remember we're simpletons next to Europeans according to everyone else but us. Derp.

  2. TOO SEXY???? You're joking, right? Sexy is like Ferrarri, Challenger, Corvette Stingray, Rolls-Royce; even RAM POWER WAGON. This thing is about as sexy as a shopping cart. I think you meant to say "Anemic Econo-Hunchback"

  3. Sexy? Wow, I think it looks like some sort of horrific third world taxi.

Maybe the hatch looks good (and the headlights, those are detailed well) but the rest pretty bland, IMHO. 🙂

  4. We do have a very attractive Accent 5-door hatchback model here in the U.S. that looks much more appealing and modern than this eyesore. In fact, I think both Accent models (sedan and hatchback) look much better than this hideous little beast. Hyundai can keep it overseas as far as I'm concerned. Just because a vehicle is sold in the Euro market, it doesn't necessarily make it any better or more attractive than what is offered here in the U.S.

  5. Unfortunately, I think this 2003 Suzuki Reno rehash could definitely be our next Accent hatch.. the headlight and taillight shapes and the straightened-out side crease are very similar to the changes they made to the new Sonata. 🙁
