More pictures of the 2015 Audi TT

Here is the next one (blue) compared to the current model.

I still think the interior is great.
But outside… It is still not enough to call this new. A useless redesign that improves nothing.

Why????

  1. Useless redesign? I believe this is on an entirely new platform shared with the new golf/gti with much improved body rigidity and lighter weight. If ithis is the case, theres nothing useless about this at all. Not everything is about "looks".

  2. It's a brand new platform even though design doesn't quite show it. Interior dimensions are up little bit with this new MQB platform:

Headroom increases 3.6 cm (1,4") and wheelbase 3.7 cm (1.4"). Legroom and shoulder room probably by half an inch.

Also new 2.0 l engine is quicker and reaches 62 mph in 3.7 sec.

But this is not huge market given most buy RWD in this segment.

  3. It's an evolutionary redesign, which is totally appropriate for this type of vehicle. This redesign maintains the overall iconic shape of the TT, while sharpening and modernizing the details. Audi did the right thing with this new TT.

  4. The 2014 Kia Soul has more changes from the 2010 model. If I owned an Audi TT, this new model sure as hell ain't enough to get me to trade it in for the newer model.
