2014 Hyundai Equus

Last Updated:

The revised Equus will be shown at the New York auto show in a few days.
Changes should be similar to those we are seeing here, in the local korean version.

Of course, the dials have been replaced by an LCD screen. I have yet to see a good application of this.
The only one I have seen so far is in the jaguar XJ, and it looks horrible and cheap.

The dash seems mostly new. And more upscale.

The console is also redesigned. Looking more like the European competition.

This what the current one looks like. So no big changes outside…

The current interior does look a bit old next to the other pictures above.
Which is good.
Seems that Hyundai is serious about improving their flagship sedan.

  1. Looks like a Lincoln from 10 years ago. Why would I consider this when I can get the phenominal ALL-new MKZ in a choice of TURBO-6 or Hybrid??? For about the same price! I think Hyuncai/Kia are pricing themselves out of the market. They just aren't there yet.

  2. HUGE improvement.

I always thought the interior looked a bit downmarket. The MMC seems to fix that.

    Good on Hyundai!

  3. If an MKZ is about the same price as an equus, it is Lincoln that has priced itself out of the market.
