The future is now.

Just picked up a friend at LAX a couple of days ago. And saw this, for the 1st time.
Rows and rows of EVs. Most of them charging up.
Something we will see everywhere in a few years.

It was just a great sight. And made me happy...

The sight of the Prius is depressing. It's the new malaise era of automotive design.

The Toyota Camry (the top selling car in its class) and the Prius V wagon were given poor ratings in the newest test, and were the worst mid-sized performers. The Hybrid Camry is expected to be similarily dangerous.

Not sure I want to trade my life for better fuel mileage.

A question I have always wonder, doesn't the method of production of the electricity have to be cleaner to make a difference?

That's awesome! I wish I could afford to buy one because I'd plug it in at work.

You have friends?

Prius is the the post-jellybean epoch of transport, driven by angry people.

A few of my friends drive a Prius, none of them are angry.

Funny how some people put so much hate in one car.
I would not buy a Prius myself, but could never get to hate is as much as some people do.
It's just a car....

Look at all of those dirty coal fired powered cars lined up to take more of California tax payers' money... subsidized baby, to the hilt. Gotta love it. Owe, and if there is some wind power included think of all of the birds that were killed in the making of that energy.

They don't hate the Prius; they dislike what it symbolizes: the arrogant ignorance of the intellectual moron. At least that seems to be who's buying these. Certainly not a lot of "Car Guys" buying them. And a lot of car guys feel threatened by the fact that over-regulation and government market manipulation is ending the freedom of manufacturers to make cars for EVERY niche, and especially the elimination of those cars that spark the enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity of true "Car Guys"
