  1. And in Norway we pay between $9.50 and $10 pr. US Gallon (VPower) and we have done so for years allready.

  2. Since 2008 (or 2009) US has been in steady decline of gasoline use. As long as prices gradually creeps us it is a very good thing for US. Wouldn't you agree?

  3. if you understood how the system works, it's out of the hands of that specific station. they're hardly crooks.

  4. Wow, premium is only 3.2% more than regular. That's a very good deal.

The prices look good to me, but I live in Canada. $5/gallon is $1.32/liter, or €1.03 for our European friends.

Aren't you glad you returned the Avalanche?

  5. in Vancouver Canada the regular gas price is now at $1.36 per liter. It had gotten close to $1.48 not too long ago here. Then there is the price difference of regular unleaded to supreme…usually a jump up of about 10-13 cents more per liter. Wait till this late fall or winter when allied forces start bombing the crap out of Iran…we will all pay sky high prices and the world economies will hit a 1930's recession.

  6. Well, the really funny part about this is that one block in ANY direction, and the gas is about $0.60 cheaper per gallon.

I almost never see anyone there actually buying gas, which makes me wonder how they stay in business like this.

I call BS on this comment – specifically in Canada (can't speak to US)…however these guys are the closest to price fixing I've ever seen…they all watch and change their retails the second the station across the street does it.

As for the margin – cry me a river. Sure, likely pennies per litre – however they're selling thousands of litres a day.

  8. Vince, why is it that assholes I mean the goverment can raise gas prices even when the gas trucks already put the gas at the stations before gas rised.

You're right you can't speak to the US. They all change their prices when the others do BECAUSE OF THEIR SUPPLIERS. You can't be so naive as to think each individual station at a specific location chooses its own prices.

  10. Gas in my area jumped up $.20 in less than a week! One station literaly upped it's price 3 times in within a few hours. This is getting rediculous!

  11. You're right – I don't believe that – in certain circumstances.

I've seen attendants watching w/ binoculars to see when other stations change their retails.

Also – explain how virtually every long weekend, retails increase, just before and decrease just after?

Lastly, retails changed just this last week to the highest level of 2012 – and every report (radio / print news, including government analysts) cite there is zero known reason for the increase.

So, do the stations fix prices – absolutely. Are they influenced by cost, for sure. Is it price fixing, 100%.

  12. whiners, you can't do anything about it. Gas is king, money rules the world and makes the rules. Follow as you are supposed to ants!

  13. wha wha wha , mommy, people aren't fair, wha wha, shut up! This is how the world has always and will always work. pay up hahahahaha!

  14. Harwood: So could these high prices help us?

Obama: I think that I would have preferred a gradual adjustment. The fact that this is such a shock to American pocketbooks is not a good thing. But if we take some steps right now to help people make the adjustment, first of all by putting more money into their pockets, but also by encouraging the market to adapt to these new circumstances more quickly, particularly US automakers, then I think ultimately, we can come out of this stronger and have a more efficient energy policy than we do right now.

Stop complaining YOU voted for it.

  15. obama has no power or say, neither does anyone in the U.S.A It's a bankrupt country hiding it's bankruptcy through games and posturing. The U.S is the Toyota of countries, what you see is NOT what you get. The power brokers on this planet are the Arabs and the Chinese. Enjoy!

More like the U.S is the GM of countries. It has to be bailed out all of the time
