More pictures of the Cadillac ATS

Last Updated:

New “action” shots of the small Cadillac sedan.
Not sure if these look better, or if I am just getting used to the design. But I kind of like it. A bit more.
Still, I wish the front grille wasn’t so.. Soft and boring…

But the profile seems fine. And the interior as well.

From these shots it also looks like t would look much better with even thinner headlights.

They just didn’t push it enough….

  1. I honestly don't see much design effort with the ATS other than a taller-tailed CTS rear end and stretching the headlights down the fender (a lame gimmick that Nissan likes to do). pretty much a yawner.

No one can comment on performance yet, but from a styling perspective this just looks like a standard old Caddie for the most part.

  2. I'm a BIG fan of Caddy's new look -as long as the vehicles are long enough to make the styling lines look low and sleek as on the new XTS. However this ATS is actually worse-looking than the original dumpy CTS. Fenders are too tall, tires are too small, front and rear clips too blunt and narrow to carry off the same look so successful on the newer CTS. Sorry Cadillac but this will be an embarrasment in the marketplace to the degree that Cimmarron was.

  3. I think its a little bit amazing how they managed to take the existing CTS styling and somehow mold it into a pseudo-C-class. I find it much more handsome than the CTS and XTS, if a little too Mercedes-like in profile. But all the American makers seem to be trying to copy their (more successful) main competition these days, so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

  4. Nothing really new or innovative. Styling cues taken from multiple other sources, much like the "new" acura. Harmless, but, in this segment that might not be enough.

  6. It looks awful and will be dated quickly. The first gen CTS looks awful now, just like this will in a few years.

  7. This is the best looking car to date in it's size catagory. Much better that the 335i A4; and a bit better than the C-class. And way ahead of anyghing lexus or infinity (in that size). Of course I'm not a big fan of the small cars, the smallest one I've ever owned is a 535ix. But if I could fit in a C-size, I would buy definitely buy this Cad.

Yeah right! You are probably driving a GM company car….

Not everyone you see in a Bimmer or Benz is anti-American. Some of us like more American cars than foreign ones–but that doesn't mean we won't buy a fun, mid-sized german sedan now and again when we see it!

Right. And when you "drive a BMW" a "very positive" comment about a GM product puts it in, let's say, ……the same level. Ha….ha….ha. Precious!
