More pictures of the Mazda Minagi Concept

We'll see how much of this will be left in the translation to the Mazda CX-5.

Very nice looking, but nothing really new.
We've all seen these lines before on a few other cars.

at least it does have that Laughing Gas™ grin.

As KODO spreads, Mazdas can go back on my shopping list.

Why can't Honda come up with such a design for the CRV? It is a mystery to me.

It looks the best from behind, and I really hope the Cx7 will retain the look from behind. Very attractive.

I like it...factor in 40MPG (if that turns out to be reality) - then IMHO you have a winner...this thing looks beautiful.

I've heard it was going to launch later this year as a 2012 model....anyone heard anything on that?

Looks like they are after the Murano look with this. But aren't most? The Murano is the best looking CUV out there.

I agree with Vince on this one..... This is really nothing new. Basically, this seems to be a revised CX-7 to me. It does seem to be the size of the Ford Edge and prolly will not get great mileage due to its size etc.

We will see as Vince says......

why can't toyotas look good, this mazda is beauty. Toyotas are soooooo ugly and plain and boring booooo hooo.

"New" or not, it still looks good. I personally think it looks quite distinctive without being garish or vulgar. Mazda needs to start applying that front end treatment to their current lineup of cars ASAP.

The BIG MOUTH is too much. Despite other nice design elements, I would not buy it just because of the grille.

Actually dude - this thing is going to be smaller than the CX7 - probably a fair replacement for the Tribute (Escape)...also - the word on the street is that Mazda is dropping their SKY engine in it - allowing for +40MPG.

A much better "face" than current Mazdas....overall it may not be entirely original but it is very nice indeed!

Really nice. If Mazda can keep the size and weight down, I'll be at the dealership.

It looks like an Infiniti FX which IMO is one of the sexier CUVs out there.

Ah yes; the oh-so-familar "shooting BRICK" design. (formerly called CUV)

Vince you should let the designers know about some new lines, which you seem to know better than the designers of this vehicle.

his thing looks the size of the BMW X3... it's a tiny ute and the replacement of the Tribute as well.

Verdict: My morning bowl of oatmeal excited me more than this unoriginal edgy pile of design cliches.

Mazda, if you're going to somehow convince me that I should be making payments on something like this, please find a way to inspire me when I'm not BEHIND the wheel, PLEASE!

The world already has a Murano... and nobody's asking for a second one. I'm sure the quality will be exceptional (everything even indirectly connected to Ford seems to be these days)... but for me the Cx-9 makes a whole lot more sense. Just wish it could tow a 4000# trailer.
