2013 Mercedes GLC?

Last Updated:

This small crossover will be based on the same platform as the redesigned A and B Class.
It would compete with the BMW X1 and upcoming Audi Q3.

The main engine would be a 1.8 Liter Turbo with up to 204hp.

  1. Not gonna lie if this looks anything like any future M-B suv it will be by far the most the most creative M-B has ever been with their suvs.

  2. I was thinking Buick sweepspear personally, but I digress…

I know Mercedes' memory of car names goes back longer than 30 years.

  3. Agreed w/ Anonymous…the side really looks Hyundai…

However, I think the execution is better (no overly sculpted front) and is a better looking product.

If this thing came w/ a diesel, I'd consider.

  4. Like a Mazda GLC but with a different logo and another $10k slapped on the price. Small economy hatchbacks are just cheap (and unsafe) transportation. The brand is irrelevent. No thank-you.

  5. Someone used a Tucson for the photoshop, couldn't they have used a different vehicle????

I like the idea of this vehicle, and the front end looks pretty good. Whoever did the shop thouhg was amatuer.

What's with those Hyundai waves on the side?

    See my comment above.

  6. It is time for MB to move away from the old fartish designs of the past. This is how the GLK should look like as well.

WTF are you talking about? The GLC was square, with round headlights. Mercedes is irrelevant? There are they 2nd highest selling luxury brand in the entire world.

The Smart car (Mercedes) has higher crash test ratings than some C-segment vehicles.

Sounds like you are stuck in the era of the Mazda GLC. Why don't you open your eyes and do some research and educate yourself.

    Ignorance is bliss, isn't it?

  8. Not a fan of the looks of this car at all and I love most Benz's; SL, E-class, SLK. The weird crossover/hatchback thing just doesn't do it for me; it's just not very good looking. I am not a fan of crossovers in general; I prefer sedans.

To me a Benz encompasses a car that is fast, powerful, sexy with top of the line engineering and craftsmanship. There's nothing "hot" whatsoever about a hatchback/crossover.

  9. Another fugly Merc. Probably cheap enough in Europe, but I'll bet they overprice it in the States per typical Merc "Screw the Yank" philosophy; Kind of a basterdized cross between a 1980 Mazda GLC hatch & a 1990 Hyundai Tiberon. A real godawful freak.

  10. I don't see the point of this vehicle. I think Mercedes already has all segments covered. They just need to focus a bit more on execution and reliability.
