2012 Mercedes C-Class Coupe

Last Updated:

After all this time, finally some official pictures.

And it does look pretty nice. It will also include the new interior we saw recently in the sedan.

The US will be getting the new 201hp 4 cylinder in the base model. And the larger V6 as an option.

They even kept the glass roof option. A nice feature.

Currently, the base 300C is almost $35 000 in the US. The new 4 cylinder model might end up being a bit less.
Not sure how much of a premium Mercedes will charge for the Coupe.

The Audi A5 starts at $37 000.

  1. Hey Mercedes!

Honda called and they want the entire side profile of the current Accord Coupe back.

This thing's a completely unoriginal design fail!

  2. WINNER!! Looks really good.

Vastly upgraded interior, and much more of a sporting exterior than the sedan.

This will sell well among MB's existing audience, though I'm not sure it will attract many new folks to the line.

Will also take some BMW 328i Coupe sales as the Audi A5 hasn't really gained a lot of traction in the marketplace (pretty as it is).

  3. I'm confused. The CLK was a C class coupe. I thought the new E class coupe was the new CLK with an E class front end in order to go up in price but was basically still the same size. So what's the difference between the two size wise? I see the c doesn't have the roll down rear window and the trunk looks shorter, but what's the difference inside?

  4. Vince, I think this will replace my 2001 C320. I'm almost at 200,000 miles and I love the thing to death but I want this coupe SO BAD. I've never had any real issues with my C aside from a wheel bearing and regular maintenance so I'll definitely be buying another Mercedes.

Do you think you'd be able to test one and give me your opinion?

  5. Nice interior. But asking over $30k for a car this small is a joke, unless it can keep up with Ferarri & Massarati.

How does this have fail written all over it? It looks great for what it is, what in the hell were you expecting?

Mercedes never intended this to be a volume model as it is a coupe, you idiot.
