2012 Fiat Freemont

Last Updated:

Looking really familiar.
This is basically a rebadged Dodge Journey for the European market.

It will use more European type engines as well. Including Fiat’s own 2.0 Liter Diesel.
Although our big 3.6 Liter V6 will be offered later.

  1. I think Europeans are smart enough to know crap when they see it. Let's hope Chrysler will have met their sales goal if they move 3 of these.

  2. I'm from Europe, and I think it's great competitor to VW Touareg. If price is appropriate, I will be it with 2.0 diesel.

Aparently not — look at all the VW's and Mercedes they sell there!

The truth about the Journey is that sales were strong right from the start–and that was with no advertising for the first 8 months and a dash that looked as goofy as the (shockingly identical dash) in the Ford Edge. Now with a dash thats more in line with Buick & Infinity; SAAB-like wheels, and leading-edge Diesels & V6's the "Fiat Freemont" is poised to strike fear into the hearts of those selling similar-sized units from BMW, VW, Mercedes, Toyota, etc! (And no, I don't work with Chrysler/Fiat/Masarati/Alfa/Dodge/Ferarri/Jeep)

  4. morons don't know anything but feel the need to share their prejudices.
    the Europian says it best.
    while haters hate.

  5. THis thing and the Touareg are entire price segments apart. First time I've ever heard the two of them mentioned in the same breath.

You are an absolute idiot, plain and simple.

Chrysler vehicles have CONSISTENLY rated poorer in JD Powers, TrueDelta, and Consumer Reports, even below MB and VW.

To even imply, or HINT at the fact that a Chrysler product is better than those two is laughable.

    LOL!!!!!!!!

  8. Chrysler vehicles have CONSISTENLY rated poorer…bs, bs, bs,

    FACT:
The Dodge Ram edged out the Ford F-150 to be the top-rated pickup in Strategic Vision’s 2010 Total Value Index. The Chrysler-built Volkswagen Routan outpolled the Honda Odyssey by two points and was the highest-ranked minivan

  9. Ok I don't care if it's Touareg's competitor or not, but for me it's great car. It is better than Journey, couse of the fiat's diesel engine.

  10. I thought rebadging is what only Toyota/Scion/Lexus and Honda/Acura and Ford (escape)/LandRover (LR2) /Mazda (Tribute) /Mercury (Mariner) specialises in.

Or do most Auto companies do that now days???

PS: Dodge Journey has the absolute higherst ratings for Safety TOO!
