All new Toyota Vitz/Yaris

Last Updated:

This is pretty much our new Yaris for next year.
It is supposed to be getting the best gas mileage of any Toyota sold in the US (I guess even better than the Prius)
Thanks, partially, to a new CVT and a Start/Stop system that cuts off the engine when the car isn’t moving.

It is much more angular than the current version. And actually doesn’t look bad, for an inexpensive hatchback.
(The current model starts at around $13 000)

We’ll see….

  1. Is Toyota changing their logo? The badge above the grill looks different (kind of like an Opel badge turned 90 degrees).

  2. I don't understand this company. It can make a beautiful Camry, Lexus LS, ES, IS, RX but why not a Yaris? It's hatchback and several SUVs have ugly C-Pillars.

No in answer to your question. These pictures are of the japanese spec Vitz which uses a different badge.

  4. "Start Stop System" is nothing new to Toyota. What's new, is that now it can be controlled! LOL

    -we hope. LOL!!!!!

  5. Something tells me that Toyota will sell a ton of these.. the body actually looks a little better, but the big improvement is moving the gauges back behind the steering wheel where they belong.
