Last Updated:

The all new Accent will face tough competition when it comes out in the US next year.
Mainly from the Fiesta and the cheaper Mazda2.

Here is a glimpse of what the body will look like…

  1. You sure its a hyundai ?? i heard the accent will be sedan and have the veloster, and the kia rio will have sedan and 3 door hatch and looks like the rio5 is comming back…

  2. the mazda2 being only 100hp won't really be competition to much. I'd think the fiesta will be the big one to beat. I don't know about in the US, but up here in Canada, there are tons of Accents around, and that's even before they started selling the stripper models for $9,999

  3. You have that wrong. It's the Fiesta and Mazda2 that will face tough competition from the new Accent. Unless Hyundai royally screws it up, the Accent's 1.6 GDI engine will give ~20 hp more with better performance and mileage than the Fiesta's 1.6 and the Mazda2's 1.5.

  4. Nope, vince says,

  5. The new Hyundai design language works really well on the sedans and SUVs.. but it doesn't appear to look like anything special when applied to a hatchback. Maybe it's just the upswept rear quarter window that ruins it for me.. why does everyone have to use that same gimmick?
