This is the Chinese version of the small Buick sedan.
From the illustration GM released last year, it looks like the US will delete the spoiler (Thank God!), and ad a chrome line around the windows.
Not sure about what engine it will use.
But a high end with the 2.0L Turbo from the Regal is in the works.
This looks like it could really compete with the Mazda3 sedan.
It also depends on pricing.
And especially, how it drives…
rebadged cruze. So obvious..
I hope they do something to jazz up the exterior a bit. It doesn't look as special as the rest of the new Buicks.
rebaded opel actually.. but the rear light assemblies are fugly.
Frankly, I respect Kia more.
What's that crap between this Buick and the Cruze? They don't share even a body panel… We're very far from the Ford Fusion/Lincoln MKZ badge engineering, and the price difference will not be that high…
This look more a case like Lexus ES VS Camry, or RX VS Venza, the cars at least look different from each other, and the premium buyer's choice looks premium.
Buick WAS on a roll. But this just stopped it. This looks like a glorified Dodge Neon. The rear lamps are horrible and the proportions are all wrong! They really would have done better badge engineering the Opel Astra on this one, following suit of the Buick Regal/Opel Insignia. the front end of this car harks the LaCrosse which no longer makes the LaCrosse so distinct.
Buick this is a bad move. Why would anyone in their right mind purchase this over a high end Chevy Cruze? The Buick Regal needed to be the least expensive car in Buick's line up. They should have focus on a better replacement for the Lucerne, and a Riviera/Velite Coupe model.

I couldn't care less how well it drives, I will never in my lifetime own a Buick vehicle let alone any GM for that matter.
I like the front end…the side profile is marginalized by undersized wheels. I'm not a fan of the rear end though…
The overall package is 'ok'…
Why does the chrome on top of the headlights look like eyebrows? Stop steering at me!!!

It's a homely looking thing. There is not a single exciting thing about it.

It doesn't top consumer satisfaction charts, it does well in INITIAL QUALITY which means absolutely nothing.
It looks like a update Dodge Neon from the side
