Chevrolet Cruze videos

Last Updated:

Here are some videos from countries where the Cruze has already been on sale.
From what I can see, the interior does look really nice.

We’ll just have to wait a little bit longer to get it over here…

  1. I'd still rather have a Civic. At least I know it would last.

Look at the flashing in the first video @ 1:12. Junk is junk, and GM certainly is junk.

  2. More upscale than what exactly?

I don't think this looks very classy OR well made.

Fail from the start. I'll take a Forte or a Civic, thanks.

  3. You guys are dumb that say its put together like junk. Just by looking at the pictures you can tell it is drastically better than the cobalt. It will sell, if its better than Civic etc. will depend on how good the new engines are.

  4. This color is horrendous but I do think it's a nicely styled small sedan. Hopefully there isn't any Daewooness in it.

  5. You idiots that say all GM is Junk OBVIOUSLY haven't OWNED one in the last 10 years. All you can tell from a photo like this is that the car has some style. Quality opinions will have to wait till you DRIVE it — if you EVER do!

I'll put my life savings on it that the Cruze isn't even better than the current 5 year old Civic.

I owned a previous generation CTS-V for less than a year. Powertrain was fantastic, rest of the vehicle was a piece of shit.

Other people HAVE driven the Cruze, and those magazines didn't like it that much.

  7. "I owned a previous generation CTS-V for less than a year. Powertrain was fantastic, rest of the vehicle was a piece of shit." NEST TIME buy it new — BEFORE it's been in an accident, rebuilt, and beat to crap. They're absoultely amazing cars. Quality beyond reproach.

I did buy it new in 2004.

The axle hop was terrible when launched hard as was the rear differential that was made from what seemed like glass. It was not durable and was replaced. Go check the CTS-V forums, it is widely discussed.

The PAINT on the navigation buttons had peeled off and revealed their white backing in less than 20,000 miles of use. There were numerous rattles around the rear deck and in the dash that were fixed, but came back less than 100 miles later.

Again, the powertrain was fantastic but the rest of the vehicle was junk.

It was traded in on an '05 C55 which is better in just about every single respect in my opinion.

  9. If GM wasn't junk then why did they go bankrupt? (Spoken like an ignorant moron)

–Same reason Dusenburg did. Too much put into the product; not enough put into markup (profit). The first second the economy slips you've got no cash buffer, and you're gone. If they'd gouge people a little (like Honda, Toyota, Suburau & Mercedes) they'd have avoided bankrupcy! Most people are too lazy to do the math and will spend $20k – $50k "on the opinion of an (idiot) "friend". Based not on the math, but on a "feeling" that "everybody knows" what the better deal is.

"The axle hop was terrible when launched hard… There were numerous rattles…" SO IT WAS YOU THAT "BEAT THE CRAP" OUT OF THIS GM CAR. You were smart to switch to soething lite, underpowered & incapable. No axile hop on a Kia Rio or Milktoase Mercedes– they don't accelerate fast enough to take air & "hop". Although, if I put my mind to it, I'll bet I could wreck ANY car — even a Milktoast Mercedes! If your Cad lasted 5 years ('04-'09); I'll give the Merc at most 3.

  11. The interior is nice even if it does have the 2006 Sonata's greenhouse. But I'm still like my Kia Forte.

  12. GM made trash for decades which is why they went bankrupt… How can you say otherwise with a straight face?

  13. GM was the most innovative car company on the planet for 50+ straight years…How can you say otherwise with a straight face? 1st rear engine, 1st luxury FWD (eldo), 1st truck with 4-wheel steering, 1st SUV with 4-wheel steering, 1st car with air suspension (1950's); not to mention the ground-breaking styling of ANY of the Vettes, '59 El Cameno, sidegate pickup (1960's) 1st stainless steel roof-1950's, 1st fiberglass body, 1st hardtop convertable truck, 1st convertable with a full-width back seat (not intruded by the roof mechanism), 1st flexible dent-proof/rust-proof bodys (Saturn), 1st midgate SUV: Envoy, and midgate trucks: (Avalanche & Escalade); First all-electric coupe (1980's) and I could go on for 1000's of pages like this, but you get the idea. Nobody in the world has ever created as many unique rolling works of art as General Motors. From Riverias, to Trans Ams, Escalades, Fleetwoods, to TEREX mega-dumps, to Olds 98 Clamshell Tailgate Wagons; etc. etc. etc… Toyota, Honda, & Mercedes COMBINED … STILL don't have as many innovative patents as GM.
