2010 Ford Grand C-Max

Last Updated:

After the 5 seater C-Max, Ford will soon introduce the 7 seater version called the Grand C-Max.
The larger version is supposed to get sliding doors, like a regular Minivan.

The US is going to get at least one of the two versions. Maybe both.

  1. My guess is that we'll get the larger minivan version. Ford doesnt have anything else except the Flex/SUV's for family hauling.

  2. Interesting…I guess it's a way to give families an excuse to skip the Transit Connect. I'm just wondering why anyone would choose this over an Escape or an Edge.

  3. "Is America still too mini-van-phobic?"

It isn't America that is mini-van-phobic, its GM and Ford that are. Minivan sales for Honda and even Chrysler show that there is still quite a few soccer moms (and dads) that don't want an SUV or a crossover.

Frankly most crossovers are just minivans minus a sliding door.

Why would anyone choose this over a Escape or an Edge?

    Let's see:

    Price
    Fuel economy
    Practicality
    Ride
    Styling
    Configurations

  5. Well if they don't hurry up and release them over here people will lose interest pretty quick.
Can anybody remember the Chevy Volt??

  6. This is really nice. But I agree with Anon 4:30… we've been teased forever. The candle is going to burn out before we ever get the f..ing thing.

The candle is burning for people like us. Most Americans have no idea these cars even exist.

I like these. I hope the Focus looks as good.
