2011 Hyundai Sonata

Last Updated:

More and more pictures are coming out.
Now just hopping that grill isn’t too big . It could end up making the whole thing looking like a cartoon.
But it already looks so much better than the Accord…

We’ll see much more very soon.

  1. I liked it in other photos, but this is horrible. I'd gladly let these things pass me just so I don't have to see that in the mirror.

    Hmmm…

  2. "It could end up making the whole thing looking like a cartoon." You spelled it wrong. It's spelled "c a m r y"; not "c a r t o o n ".

  3. It looks sleek in those pictures, but even with those headlights that look like they are being squeezed off the car, it still looks presentable in comparison with the accord.

  4. I think it looks fantastic.

I would take one of these over a POS Altima any day of the week. The Altima is a terrible vehicle with a boring, BORING design and interior.

  5. The Altima, my fine, uneducated friend, is consumer reports top rated car for initial quality and long term repair cost ( lowest cost). Next time, before flapping your gingivitis infested gums, research a bit. Just to save face for your group, you know, the old, uneducated Camry drivers.

    Hey grandpa.

It is #1 for the six cylinder segment. Not for the four cylinder. Get your facts straight.

Initial quality means exactly dick. Initial quality is nothing. I would rather have 10 problems while the vehicle is still under warranty than 5 years down the road and the warranty has run out.

LONG term repair cost? You better read that magazine again. You are dead wrong. Accord and Camry dominate that segment.

    FYI: I drive a 2005 330i.

  7. How does this look like a Camry AT ALL?

You people are idiots, just because a vehicle has four wheels, glass, and a steering wheel doesn't make it a Camry.

  8. This car looks a little fuzzy, I don't know if I would want it. I also would be bothered by that little yellow triangle on top. I hope you can remove it.

  9. "You people are idiots, just because a vehicle has four wheels, glass, and a steering wheel doesn't make it a Camry."

No bonehead, no one is saying that it's Camry. It's a knockoff. Just as ugly as a Camry, but for a lower-rent customer.

  10. Does this blog get a kickback from Hyundai? Don't understand the love of design by the author/blogger for Hyundai. The previous Sonata was much cleaner than this. This seems way to overwrought, same goes for the Tucson a couple of posts up, way too busy. Cartoonish is a good word. Clean and simple lines are best.

Accord is by far the best looking car in the segment. Clean up the rear (too busy there as well) and one of the best looking cars on the road that will wear well with time. This is already outdated looking.

  11. The Accord's rear looks like it came from a Saturn and not in a good way. The entire design just does flow together well for the Accord. Truthfully, their older designs are cleaner. The interior's center stack is weird looking with way too many buttons.
Hyundai, from what we can tell so far, is looking to bring more boldness to their designs and I think people will recognize that.
This Sonata is a better thought out design then the current Accord.
