They really don’t show too much.
It’s dark and very shiny…

  1. No sir, I don't like it. At least they aren't planning on actually making any money (yet) on the US model since it will be a halo car of sorts for the brand. At that price point, it's not really under cutting much unless it has a multitude of features that the others don't at that price. I still like the look of the Genesis MUCH better. They should have just stretched that look and called it "Genesis L" or something similar.

  2. Why true? I'm really loving that funky Korean presteeeegeee. Good changeee from that melted-Mallow-mar Hog-wire XJ. Me likeeee..

  3. I like the interior…The front is a bit gawdy and the line down the side is old-fashion stupidity like American Buick.

So you are saying at 50K they won't be undercutting anyone?

You are an idiot. It competes with the S class, 7 series, A8, LS, etc. All of them cost at LEAST 10 grand more, with the Lexus being by far the cheapest.

Please do some research before you type.

  5. Copy cat my arse! It rooks nothing rike a Rexus Air-S!

Kudos Hyundai for having the giblets to be a bit different.

Whoa there anonymous gun slinger! Sure it competes with the likes of those vehicles, but who is really concerned with saving the dough when looking for a $50,000 plus vehicle? That class does not consist of economic buyers my friend. The Genesis can get away with it because it's affordable for a much larger crowd. It's an inspiration to the minivan, SUV, and CUV owners out there who can see the light at the end of the tunnel of realism because they realize that a vehicle like this is affordable to even them (because those prior vehicles cost just as much nowadays.) The Equus is an unproven $50,000, so the US market is less likely to take a dive into the unknown at such a high price with a market literally flooded with proven stallions and would gladly spend the extra $10,000…simply because they can. Right now, $30,000 is the new $20,000…so this vehicle is still out of range for many people. Luckily for Hyundai, they know better than to put all their eggs in one basket like many others have done before. Some have been successful and others have failed miserably. There's nothing wrong with playing it safe and having low expectations for the "right" reasons.

    Understand now?
