2011 Mercedes B Class

Last Updated:

This looks like a sedan version of the next A Class hatchback.
Right now, the B Class is a tall crossover/van/wagon version of the A class.

This might have to do with selling it in the US, where sedans are more popular anyway.
I could see a small mercedes sedan starting at around $26 000 or even a little more, in the US.
With a powerful and efficient 4 cylinder engine, sure.
Pretty much what the 1 series was supposed to be. Instead, we ended up with a small car starting at over $30 000 before any options…

  1. Nice rendering…but I seriously doubt its a design direction for the B-Class at all….its more of a sleek update for the C-Class….or more a C-Class for door coupe, and it makes sense. Mercedes already announced there is a true C-Class coupe on the way (not the CLC hatchback crap). This does look better than the current stout looking C-Class.

Mercedes will do a smaller car but this ain't it.

  2. The B-Class as is was designed for the US, then they backed out at the last minute afraid of poor sales.

The 1-Series is too cramped at any price. I felt like I was sitting in some medieval torture device.

  3. From what I read, Mercedes-benz is planning 2 different models to replace the actual B-Class. The BLS, a smaller CLS model and a BLK to go under the GLK. Just Google the to 2 names

  4. This looks too much like the C-Class to be real….although being FWD this would be the perfect contender against the Caddy BLS….if it sold well enough to be threatening.

  5. This would be a great entry model alernative to the BMW 1-series which is an overpriced econobox as reflected by its dismal sales.

  6. I think it looks fantastic, sign me up!!!

This same idiot posts the same comment in every single new Mercedes post.

He probably drives an Infinity and is jealous…

  7. Ugh.. Another whacky M-B. "Let's just bring on more clichés!!" C'mon M-B.. You have become the German GM from the 90s design-wise.

  8. Merceds will offer a B-Class variant true….but it wont be called CLS or BLS….BLS is reserved for Cadillac. The CLS moniker is now defunct by Mercedes. And was reserved for the C-Class variants and not the B-Class.

However, BLK is correct for the crossover variant that will be placed under the GLK.

    You must work for Mercedes.
    Mercedes cant handle critcism.
    Welcolme to the real world.

  10. The only classy MB is the SL which MB screwed up the front for 2010.
The CLS is not too bad..In Black.

  11. I like the front. MB is getting goofy with their styling pen…Too many lines that make it look retrded.

    Don't work for Mercedes, don't drive a Mercedes, I drive a BMW.
