Hyundai Genesis

Even more pictures.
I think this car is looking better and better.
I just wonder if that many people in the US will go for a Hyundai at these prices. Even if it’s a ‘deal”.

  1. I too think this car looks better and better everytime I see it. But what’s the story with the what looks like a clear plastic film over the center of the grill. Is that a protective film somebody forgot to remove?

  2. Does anyone knows what’s that thing in the center of the front grill? Is it some sort of camera or protective gear.
BTW, this car seems full of gadgets but is there any real innovation, I mean mechanicallly speaking? I never drove the Azera but the late XG 350 was pure crap.

Vince, Keep up the good work

  3. “I never drove the Azera but the late XG 350 was pure crap.”

As a premium car, the Azera is pure crap also. But it’s convincing enough for a lot of people.

  4. Yeah, I hope they fix the grill for us…at least they made that wing thing a bit more cool looking…

  5. i don’t get the appeal of this car-
its for the person who can’t decide just what car to buy, so he buys one that looks like all the ones he was interested in?

front pic of the silver car instantly reminds me of the chrysler sebring with a splash of 5series

i don’t see this as a serious threat to anyone — well, maybe buick. but, i don’t discredit their efforts.
give them about 5 more yrs, and then they’ll finally produce something that is a serious threat

  6. That “wing thing” looks like a Mini Ripoff!! The car looks like bmw from the back, and they even stole bmw’s entry car’s insignia! Imagine that!

  7. As a premium car, the Azera is pure crap also. But it’s convincing enough for a lot of people.

You sure? You never drove it? Owned it? But you know for a fact it’s pure crap?

That is one of the most ignorant comments ever. Go tell that to Consumers Reports, JD Powers and other well known auto authorities that have given awards based on owner surveys and feedback.

If you don’t like a car or brand just be honest and say so but stop the ignoramous bashing

  8. Back on topic..the Genesis looks good so far and so does the interior. This may not be considered a break through design by any means but it does have visual appeal and should do well for it’s intended target market.

It will be nice to see more interior details though. 7 weeks to Detroit unveiling and counting..

  9. I just hope Hyundai does not dumb down the tech list like they’ve done for the US spec Azera. If these could be had for $35-40k with radar controlled cruise control and nav, they would be snapped up as corporate plush-cars and by the value minded post middle age.
