Renault Laguna Coupe concept

Nice, but nothing amazing.
Better looking than the sedan, but most coupes are…

And it’s still a concept, so it’ll be tone down a bit.

  1. I think there has been a mistake. This picture is of a Mercury Cougar – from the 1999 to 2002 model year. Renault must have made a mistake in their press kit.

  2. Actually, this is a really nice looking coupe, especially the profile. Hard to believe it’s French. Makes the Accord, Altima and G37 coupes look downright frumpy in comparison.

Actually, the Accord coupe looks downright frumpy on its own.

  3. this looks alot better than the Z car on WHICH its based ! its rear wheel drive and has the nissans 3.7 in it ! this aint to gussied up altima

  4. No, as it’s been said, this coupé is based on the Altima, not the Z, which means it’s a front wheel drive.
The 6 cylinder engine could be part of a “Renault Sport” version which would come later.
Internal sources say this concept is very close to the definitive version, much closer than the Twingo concept was for example.

Probably the most beautiful French car since the 406 coupé!

  5. Just about all coupes look alike to me except perhaps a few Mercedes, BMW, and Bentley coupes.

Most are also nearly as large as their sedan counterparts, so you get a large car with limited interior capacity with long, heavy doors that make coupes hard to live with.

Having owned both 2 and 4-door cars, I’ll take a sedan any day.
