Looking really close to the spy pics.

I am not sure how big of a market there is for this kind of thing.
An SUV with no headroom….

  1. HOT!
Headroom could be better than it appears…huge wheel/tires and high beltline can be deceiving.

  2. I did post a spy pic of the interior a few weeks ago.
there is no headroom in the backseat.
    weird….

  3. headroom in the back row is not needed, this car aims at rich parents with small children. the car wont sell to old geezers with teenage children, anyway.

  4. Instead what they should have done is come out with a 2 door version of the X6 with a removable metal top thus making it a more unique segment and less of a competitor with the rest of the line up.
To get a better idea of what I am talking about google the early Tiguan concepts pics that had 2 doors and a canvas top.

  5. Two-doors don’t do as well in sales as 4-doors even in the SUV/SAV segment. Look how sales have skyrocketed for the Wrangler now that the 4-door is on sale. Seems that as long as a vehicle has a backseat -no matter how useful for people, buyers like the added access. There’s a bit of a coupe resurgence for sedan-type vehicles but that’s only because they already all offer a 4-door as well.

  6. Joe in Seattle..

    Some is jealous of Lexus.

The RX 330.. has the same rear window/lines.
It seems to be copying game anyway with all out there.

  7. 11:37,

It just shows how fat and lazy we Americans have become. Now it is all about cup holders, extra doors, DVD players for the kidies and not really about style or being different. And also the stupid Regean- Ioccoa era tariff spoiled the influx of 2 door SUVs, a real shame. Sorry, but 4 doors are a little boring….
I like the 2 door Motero, Wrangler and FJ Cruiser.
The X6 should add to the flavor too

  8. Looks like all automobile manufacturers are slowly ripping off consumers by reducing the size and materials used in manufacturing crossovers across the board. To top it all off, they are also charging more for their latest Picaso’s. In about 7 to 10 years from now all crossovers will be about the same shape and size as hatchbacks were in the early 80’s at 5 times the cost!
