No Crossroad for the US

Last Updated:

That’s what Honda is saying.
So say goodbye to what you’ll never know…

Too bad. The Element is getting old, and I think the Crossroad has a much better interior.
Plus, Scion has a new Xb coming out.

  1. sorry to disagree with you vince (cause i usually agree!) but i find that the crossroad’s interior is really busy – especially the area to the left of the shifter. It seems that Honda’s interiors are getting busier (look at all the buttons in Acuras and the push-button-instead-of-dials in the Civic’s climate controls). The same goes for the European Civic – i LOVE the futuristic wrap-around headlights that span the front, the overall shape and it’s slickness but the interior has so many different buttons and shapes it’s very visually distracting. just my two cents. your site rocks, vince! i tell all my car friends to visit!

  2. That’s good news that we aren’t getting it…or at least not replacing the Element. The Element is for the off-roadies or at least it has that off road vibe. The Crossroad is basically just a Honda XB.

  3. Vince,
What source told you about this??? Sorry, but I hope your source is wrong because I thought this SUV represented not only a retro CRV but a nice alternative to the Caliber. Maybe I will have to buy this thing from or Canadian neighbors. They got the cool Nissan X-trail and we got squat. Is it too late to write to Honda of N. America?

  5. Fudge on it not coming. It looks pretty darn cool to me. I’ll just have to hold out hope for a good re-design of the Forester in 2008.

  6. Vince, the current Element will continue for 1 more year through 2008, a year longer than the norm. For 2009, Honda plans on placing a brand new vehicle between the small CR-V and the new larger 2008 Pilot. Insiders here at Honda say the new platform will seat 7, be a ‘crossover’ based on the Asian Odyssey and will have a fresh nameplate.

  7. another square honda…what about the element. that’s selling terribly. they put 3 rows of seats in a vehicle smaller than the CRV, hmmmmm that sounds safe!

You all must work for honda if you think this thing is good looking.

Do you also think all the people who like the Aztek work for GM?
