2008 Ford F-250

Last Updated:

F-250 Super Duty Crew cab Lariat, to be exact.

One big trucky truck for macho men. (And the ones who actually need one for work…)

And no, there won’t be a new Excursion based on this.

  1. If a truck design could be on steroids, this one would be it. Great looking truck overall, I say.

  2. The interior certainly looks nice. Looks more like black interior trim than ugly gray plastic, which is the norm with American cars/trucks. The front end looks okay, but seems like more of an anonymous update (ala Porsche Cayenne and pretty much all Subarus) than something substantial. The rest of the truck body is in need of an update but probably won’t see one till two F-150 generations have passed. At least it’s not as ancient as the Ranger, which probably has looked the same since the early 1990s.

  3. I don’t think this is any prettier than the 2007 Tundra, and the new Tundra isn’t any uglier than this outdated (except the front end of the truck) truck.

For those who comments negatively on the interior of the Tundra; that’s a farrrrrr reach for the driver of this F-250 to adjust controls close to the passenger side. They are all big and chunky, but they get the job done.

  4. That front end is ugly. Look at the lights! I guess they were looking for that transit bus look. Good news for GM.

True enough, but while the reach on the F-250 may be as far as on the Tundra, at least you’re reaching across a far better-looking dash.

  6. You could load the tundra up and haul it away with this thing. Trucks are supposed to be big and tough and capable. If you don’t like them, don’t drive them, but don’t knock on the biggest, baddest mother of all trucks. It looks every bit as rugged as it is.

  7. you could load this 250 up and haul it away with a Semi, but that doesn’t say 250 is an imcompetent truck; nor does the previous post prove that the Tundra is any less competent.

BTW, Im sure F-350 is more capable than F250, so I don’t get how this IS the “biggest, baddest mother of all trucks.”

  8. Actually this truck doesn’t rack up the huge numbers that F150 does it terms of sales. Toyota might have a luke warm reception to their new tundra. Not just gas prices, but, more importantly the falling off the cliff housing market. All those new building projects put on hold or cancelled. Those guy/girls are the ones buying tons of trucks. This is going to be interesting.

  9. Front end is over-the-top, looks cartoonish. Body lines are solid (but really same-old, same-old) and proportions overall are ok. Interior is good. But there is a clear look of separation between body and chassis, what’s up with that? It’s a result of the 4X4 system, sure, but trucks (or cars) that look like they’re riding on ‘tippy-toes’ appear clumsy and goofy (again, the cartoon image comes to mind). This thing looks like it’ll tip over the next turn it makes at speed. A truck (or car) should look better planted on the ground.

  10. this is funny, its like when chip foose cuts tops move wheel wells inches forward or backward and no one notices if you don’t own that vehicle or see them all the time. many people who owns them know all the new edges and lines of this new truck. so lets just say your eyes or brain are not qualified to critizise design. to the designer if you think this may be the exact truck then like chip foose says they did a good job if you don’t notice the cues.
