  1. Big yawn. I hope the one we get down here will look better than that. But it is better than the Daewoo Lacetti Wagon, and that is cleaning up down here with the fleets.

  2. what a shame, the wagon version looks better than the single [sedan] version were gonna get. of course i want this over here!

  3. This is just boring….
Man can these people churn out bland cars.

Even more hilarious are the people who jump in like this:

Yes, many people want/need the wagon room but doIn’t want a SUV.

This is a poorly designed car. Nobody desires this.

  4. I am probably alittle older than some of you posters.
Let me tell you, in the 70’s and 80’s, station wagons were as liked by most people as today’s minivan’s, and for the exact same reasons(thus, I have a difficult time, personally, considering any 5 door that looks like one).

Toyota did sell station wagons, and they did not sell very well, thus, they dropped them form the USA line up.

I’d rather they hurry up and modify the xB, or t2B(whatever they are goning ot call it).
Now that is a 5 door(if they fix the looks, and drop in the tC engine, as rumored, and adding more length and width, and options) I would not mind taking a closer look at(when/if it arrives).

  5. Please Vince, why do you even ask that?
You know as well that most of stupid Americans see a zero potential in SW (unless it has a different name [matrix…] or is called SUV [forester…])
It seems that they don’t know any other that gas guzzling SUV.

  6. what is so special about this new corolla its desighn is straight out of the early 90’s its 2006 its bland, boring, ugly, and beyond looking dated….

  7. Toyota should absolutely bring a SW version of the Corolla.

However, this one is ugly as hell… I think I’m gonna pray for Toyota to bring us something else… Let this nightmare end!!

  8. We already get a Corolla Wagon. Its called the MATRIX. You might have heard of it. It shares almost all components with the current corolla except for the exterior sheet metal.

I have a new found respect for the corolla wagon after doing a 700 mile round trip in a 93 example with 105 hp, 4 speed auto and AC on blast. Oh and 170k miles on the clock. We had that little bucket packed to the roof with our camping gear driving at 90mph most of the way to LA. Little car was a trooper. It averaged 33mpg. So YES! I could deal with a more traditional looking Corolla Wagon.

  9. The world needs a new wagon like it needs a new minivan, or suv.

What’s up with those Huge Side Bolsters!?
This is a Corolla, not a sports car!

Actually, it needs one more than yet another minivan or SUV gashog. Have you not seen gas prices lately? Do Mom and Dad pay your fuel bills?

What’s up with those Huge Side Bolsters!?

When was the last time you were in a real sports car? An Accord has bolsters this big.

This is a Corolla, not a sports car!

Yeah, that’s a given just by saying the car’s name. What are you, eight?

  11. I once owned a 1997 Camaro, up until 3 years ago.
Drove it mainly in Summer. Is that considered a sports car, or is the Civic Si(LOL…FWD= SPorty, Not Sports , cars).
Not saying FWD, 197HP cars aren’t fun….but nothing like my old ’77 Camaro(except on extremely curvey back roads, then the smaller cars had the advantage. Straight line? No problems).
BTW,the 77 Camaro had smaller side bolsters than this car(kiddie car wagon! What, ya need to be cuddled in you seat, like a baby?).

Vince, maybe you should let the “know-it-alls” that post ehre take over for you can go on vacation. I am sure they know even more than you!(LOL, NOT!).

  12. I agree with jw and jack yan.
This guy’s just an ***, who wants to divorce his sex-changed father.

Talk about “8 years old”….. Hmmm, when you act the same way, by flaming someone?
    Who let GWB online?

  13. Talk about “8 years old”….. Hmmm, when you act the same way, by flaming someone?

Not a flame at all. My question was a serious one. Who would equate a Corolla with a sports car?

So what is your opinion of the Corolla wagon instead of trying to be the blog mommy? Do you think it is a good idea, bad idea, or do you really care?

Personally, as someone else astutely mentioned above, Toyota already has a Corolla wagon. They call it the Matrix.

  14. I really doubt this will come over as our corolla especially since its ugly and has a four lug wheel pattern ours has been 5 lug for years and i dont see them going back to that might be more of a yaris wagon or something.

  15. I would love to have this car, at least as an option. I used to have an ’03 Corolla sedan, and I think a station wagon version would have been much more versatile.

  16. My wife and I are presently looking for a wagon and would buy a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord if only they had one. I think there are many people like us that are looking for the cargo space of an SUV but really desire the gas mileage of a car. If gas prices stay high, SUV sales are likely to decline significantly and wagon sales can’t help but rise.
