  1. That is by far the cheapest looking interior on the market. Cars half its price, like bottom of the line Kias have much much better interiors than that. And the sad thing is thats a big improvement over the last smart.I hope Toyota actually does come up with some competition for this crap.

  3. What did you guys espect?

This is not meant to be used for luxury purposes, it just to save gas and be able to nimble yourself in the city.

  4. G… WHY SO BITTER..? HAVE YOU BEEN INSIDE AN IMPALA OR A FUSION? I HAVE HAD THAT OPPORTUNITY AND THE FIRST THING I NOTICED IS HOW CHEAP AND BUSY THE INTERIOR LOOKED AND FELT. GOOD JOB SMART.

  5. Do the exterior pics actually tell us anything? Nothing except that Smart doesn’t want to give much info away!

  6. it fits what smarts have always been nothing really new or worse than the before, i would disagree on “gm” interiors why gm is a discussion in a daimlerchrysler products post, but hey i guess gm has people not sleeping at night and having to talk about it all the time, would totally disagree on the comment, and so would many mags, but hey whats an expert opinions to some import biased “internet” writer

  7. Who cares about fuel cost when tires, insurance, housing (garage), and parts are lot more expensive. I will stick to my suburban and “occasionally” tailgate who ever drive a “Smart” car.

That just maddens me. Don’t you care about the enviroment? Oh, and you won’t need to replace tires as much with a Smart. Seriously, you do know that if we don’t “smart”en up soon (although we don’t all need smart cars, just something a bit more fuel efficient), we’ll all die.

P.S. Floridans, if you don’t stop driving those fancy sports cars, you’ll be underwater soon. This applies to Californians, too.

There is a special place in hell for people like you. The rest of us already live in it.

Bring the Smart to American shores just to piss off redneck SUV drivers.

It’ll be so worth it. In more ways than one.

  10. I like the fact that you can get both the tail lights and the door handle in one close-up shot… Must have tons of room on the inside. 😀

  11. hey, this is great. Smarties for the US. A familay of 6 will need 3 Smarties to go to McDonalds together. Did you know they eat gas?
The real world mileage for a gas engined Smart is between 30 and 38 miles per gallon. How about some maths now for the family of six?
They can take a Suburban, take a friend or two and still go cheaper. Folks should stop believing in Smart fairy tales.

  12. OMFG, the unhinged are on the attack, with the special kind of bile that can only come from moonbats. SUVs arent’ causing global warming, the sun is. When the current solar cycle ends, and temps on our planet start dropping again, what is your type going to whine about then? The impending ice age I suppose, just like you nutjobs were whining about that very thing 40 years ago. If someone wants to spend as little as possible on a car, and on the gas it eats, and they buy a Smart, good for them. If someone else wants to buy a gargantuan SUV that gets 5 miles per gallon, good for them, too. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid, engage in some reality-based deductive thinking, and get a life.

Only is you put your pedal to the metal! I read somewhere else about like 5 or 6 families that a newspaper reporter interviewed, they all got 60 mpg in the “real world”.

Wow! What position of the Bush government are you in??? Or maybe you work for the oil companies in Texas or Alberta. Really, do you know anything at all?

Well, you’re partly right. SUVs aren’t doing ALL the damage, just most of it. Buy fuel efficient! I don’t work for anyone!

While I’m rambling on, I’ll say that when I was going somewhere, I decided to take a poll of some of the automobiles I saw. I counted 10-15 SUVs, 5-10 minivans (most of which had 1 person in them), 10-15 large cars, 1 Smart Fortwo, and 5-10 small cars. Emergency!

I’d also like to add that all Smarts are 98% recyclable.

  14. in response to 8oo’s post… it’s scary to think that people as ignorant as you are using computers.
you don’t believe in global warming?
