The next , delayed by a year, Corolla will be offerd as a wagon version as well.
In some markets.

  1. Agreed. The Matrix is getting old, and the Vibe. The Corolla wagon in its normal form would do it. No need for odd styling again.

  2. I’ll tell you what Toyota should do, they should start being honest and decent about their poor quality (2.7 million recalls in’06, more than any other company) and maybe then the Japanese government won’t publicly scold them for poor warranty/recall practices. Yes, the Japanese goverment recently reprimanded Toyota. Finally, it looks like the world has woken up. Toyotas are no better, in fact in most cases worse than everything else out there. Case in point, more recalls than ALL OTHER COMPANIES!!!

  3. What is your personal problem whith Toyota man?
Did they sell you a lemon or something?.
You’re clogging this blog with your narrow minded anti Toyota crap every day!

  4. at least toyota admits there problems and tries to resolve them quickly unlike ford and gm ( quick hide up for damage control) there recent problems will not stop me from buying another toyota cause i know they will be there for me unlike other manufacturers, and if i need a car to go to 150k plus miles with only a few small problems i surely would not buy american !!!!

  5. Toyota’s recalls prove how proactive they are about solving potential problems. Not even problems that every car is guaranteed or likely to have, but potential ones. The fact that Toyota recalled so many vehicles due to the possibility of problems proves how dedicated they are to ensuring that the owners of their cars do not suffer from defects. Toyota is the only car company doing so much retroactively to improve the quality of their vehicles.

  6. dude you are an idiot, there are many different recalls and most of them are minor things, like the last one I heard was bad carpet clips, who cares!??!

anyways its better than american car recalls which are all mechanical and electrical
most toyota recalls are minor things
also turn off the caps i hate to hear idiots yellling lol
sorry one more thing, even if toyota has recalls there cars are way better than american ones, design and mechanicaly

  7. No more wagons, from anyone, please! I do not mind 5 door vehicles like PT Cruiser, or Caliber, Elantra GT, Suzuki Reno, HHR, but Wagons just remind me of cars mothers drove their kids around in the late 60’s and most of the70’s…. as teens, we did not “Crave” Station Wagons. Sorry.

  8. At least the patrs visible and the overal shape look like the current one. CHeck some european toyota homepage fro comparison. (The wagon has been on sale here for decades,at least the last 5 generations or so)

  9. I have always been a fan of Toyota, and still am. However, a few toyota execs have recently been under investigation for allegedly fudging recalls. Meaning, not issuing the proper recalls for the past 8 years. This is the reason why there were so many recalls in 2006. Also, i’m not sure if JD Power long term ratings take into account recalls, but if they do, those have been wrong for a while as well. However, I still believe that even if these recalls had been properly issued, Toyota would have still ranked high. Based on personal experience and experience of others, I still have faith in the brand.

(Just a thought, earlier this year Hyundai challenged Toyota on reliability)

  11. whoa man! that link better not be the next corolla because I definetly dont want it to have that yaris-like face

also vince you posted a mysterious white toyota that was a drawing about a month ago and I hope that will look like the next corolla

  12. Looks like the next Verso. Unlikely US will get it, because wagons are not popular in the US, and plus the Matrix serves the same purpose as the Verso.

  13. To the comment above: Don’t forget, Toyota’s new design is Vibrant Clarity. They’ve did it on the Yaris and Camry and I bet that kind of design will be on the Corolla.

  14. Hey Vince, great shots as usuall. How about the rest of the Toyota pics.

To the idiot harping about the volume of recalls. When you have a compamy that sells the volume Toyota does, it is more than likely the number of cars recalled would be high……
