2007 Mini

Last Updated:

Still a bit covered with tape…
It’ll come woth a new 1.6 Liter engine from Peugeot/BMW with 120hp (Cooper) and 170hp Turbo (Cooper S).
And the standard Cooper suspension will be much smoother than the current model.
Those who drive on tracks more than regular roads will still be able to order a Sport Suspension option.

More full production pictures next month.
The “wagon” version is still months away…

  1. Vince, you must have got this from Automotor und sport or one of the German web sites since I seen this before. Anyway, I thought the basic engine would have more hp.

  2. I’ll miss the chrome rings around the headlights, and that gigantic speedometer is absolutely stupid. What a waste of valuable dashboard real estate in a tiny car.

Still, I’d drive one if BMW would lower the price and make it reliable.

  3. The chrome rings are still there, under the colored tape camouflage.
The whole grill is still surrounded by chrome as well.

I see what you mean now, Vince. But that interior is so very bad. That’s where drivers will be spending most of their time afterall.

While loving the Mini concept and exterior design, I just don’t care for much anything coming out of BMW design studios since Bangle took over. The last generation 3-series was a work of art. The new one is a piece of Shiite I wouldn’t have.

And let’s not even talk about that anti-BMW-philosophy iDrive.
