2007 Suzuki XL-7

Last Updated:

Cousin to the new Saturn Outlook and Buick Enclave, the all new XL-7 will be one big Suzuki.
(using the same 3.6 Liter V6)

At least, it doesn’t look like its relatives.

More on this very soon…

  1. Does GM still think that we are all stupid arsholes???? They have been rebadging forever. Everyone knows and quite frankly it’s insulting!

  2. the front lights are unique and help it stand out, however, this car is competing on price, theres nothing significant here

  3. this vehicle is made at the CAMI JV plant between Suzuki and GM… get your head out of your rear and think… do they make the Outlook/Acadia/Enclave at CAMI… NO! What do they make at CAMI? Torrent and Equinox… hmmm, wonder what what the XL7 is based on then?

  4. i would have to disagree with the first comment, this doesnt look like anything from gm at all. i dont think it is insulting at all, we arent forced to buy anything. the gm cars at least in most cases can be told apart if next to each other. and the proper word is platform engineering not rebadging. and if you are insulted for what reason would you buy any car since very few cars even ultra luxury, and exotic cars arent platform engineered. think about it…go down every manufacturer and see how many cars are the same platform or engine etc. every mainstream company does this as well as many of those that arent.

  5. The front looks awesome!

I wish the rest of the car looked as daring as the front though. Slabby side and the straight belt line has been done to death.

  6. Those are some of the horrible looking headlights ever produced. The car looks like it’s crying, which is what I would be doing if I were ever seen in that piece of crap.

  7. Seems a bit of a departure from the Euro-designed Swift and Grand Vitara in other markets. And I agree with Anonymous above. Those headlamps look novel now but I guarantee there will be a “formalizing” mid-life refresh.

  8. The headlights look interesting and unique, but I’m not so sure about the rest of the car. Need to see the interior for a full judgement.

  9. from EBM

I think that this car will be eventually replaced by a 100% Japanese made product. GM is out of Suzki’s site so now they can do whatever they want.

  10. Lately I’ve been starting to like Suzuki. The new Swift is gorgeous, the Grand Vitara’s pretty nice, now this is the icing on the cake. Suzuki’s now officially decent in my books.

  11. Anonymous is right. It is based on the Torrent/Vue. The 3.6 liter, however is Suzuki built under license from GM. I’m not diggin’ the exterior but the interior is friggin’ fantastic.

  12. Thanks for posting these photos..The front lights looks bad.. why they didn’t design it like this?>> I think it’s look much better.. E.M.L
