2007 Hyundai Elantra

The new Elantra seems very nice, even on this blurry photo.
It looks more like a small Azera than a small Sonata.
It should give the car an upscale look. We’ll know everything next month.
They have new very competitive models in all segments.

Is it just me or are those wheels a bit small? I think it gives the a bulbous shape, not very sporty or elegant. Maybe it´s also the colour white which is not flattering, or both
Hyundai is going places. They seem to be a little “lost” in where they want to go with their styling, but they are making great cars. This one seems to be Camry meets Saab.
^ I agree the wheels look a bit small. Not only that, the wheel arches look small too, so fitting larger aftermarket wheels will be harder and won’t improve the look too much.
But otherwise, the design looks great. It shares the styling cues of Azera, Accent, and Santa Fe. Sonata is the only oddball design in the family lineup.
I just hope they don’t price it too high because of the strong Korean currency. Hyundai and Kia are taking a huge hit because of the unfavorable exchange rate right now.
Well it looks like a 2007 Yaris sedan mixed up with a 2007 Lexus ES330 on the back and a touch of the 2006 Hyundai Azera on the side.

It’s really hard to make a true “judgment” on this re-designed Elantra until we have clean, clear shots of both interior and exterior snaps.
So far everything I’ve seen has been pre-production. But soon we’ll have official pics open for all to see and comment on. For now this looks promising.

I have a 2003 Elantra, which is looking a bit dated now, but as soon as this baby comes out I’m trading up.
The Elantra is Hyundai’s best selling model in the US, so I’m sure they made this one good. If its as good as my quality Elantra, than Hyundai should be adding even more awards and accolades to its reputation as a quality auto maker.
What’s with the Ford Taurus side windows?
I just got back from Korea. I saw quite a few models with that shape of windows.
Most of their cars have very weird styling. The export models are the only half-decent designs. Most others are very poor rip-offs of Euro designs.
But I have to admit they are getting better.
